Campus Human Resources is currently assessing the training and development needs of policy-covered staff and managers at UCLA to make certain that we are addressing priority needs that support performance excellence. As special thanks, after completing the survey, you can enter a drawing to receive a free CHR Training and Development workshop.

If you have not already completed the survey, please locate the email announcing the "training and development needs assessment survey" that was distributed on July 20th and submit your responses by August 5th. If you have any questions, please contact training@chr.ucla.edu.

UCLA Volunteer Day 2016

We are 47 days away from UCLA Volunteer Day 2016! The Volunteer Center is seeking enthusiastic volunteer leaders to direct over 40 service projects across Greater Los Angeles on September 19th. We encourage alumni, staff, faculty, and continuing students to register as Task Captains. Each task captain contributes to the planning and completion of a Volunteer Day project, in addition to sharing their passion for service and information about future volunteering opportunities with new Bruins. Training for all leaders and captains will begin in July and continue through August.

We hope you will join us in inspiring the next generation of Bruins to service. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on September 19.

The Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival 2016

The Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival returns with a series of four free concerts on UCLA’s main campus. This year the midday performances will take place in a new location, the distinguished Powell Library rotunda.

Concerts include:

The rotunda is on the second floor of the Powell Library Building, which is directly across from Royce Hall. Parking is $12 (cash only) or Pay-by-Space with credit card; the closest parking is in structures four, two, or five. More info: http://www.1718.ucla.edu/

The festival is made possible by the Henry J. Bruman Trust; by a gift from Professors Wendell E. Jeffrey and Bernice M. Wenzel; by a gift in memory of Raymond E. Johnson; and with the support of the UCLA Center for 17th- & 18th-Century Studies.
