Marian Gabra, UCLA Alumni '10

Marian Gabra, PhD '10 has served as the inaugural Director of Advising Professional Development in College Academic Counseling since 2016. In this role, she has created the Advising Communities of Excellence (ACE) Professional Development Program, offering programs and workshops that bring together campus advisors. Recently, Marian and the ACE Committee have been honored with the prestigious National Academic Advising Association Region 9 Advising Innovation Award!

For Admitted Transfer Students!

Special Events & Protocol is looking for staff members interested in volunteering at UCLA Bruin Day on Saturday, May 12, 2018. We anticipate approximately 15,000 admitted transfer students and their guests will visit the campus, and your help is vital to making the day a success.

UCLA Bruin Day gives admitted students the chance to tour the campus, hear from professors, meet current students and experience what life is like as a Bruin. Our goal is to pack all UCLA has to offer into one spirited and unforgettable day.

Silk Road to the Future

UCLA Student Affairs in partnership with Silk Road to the Future invites UCLA students, faculty, staff, and alumni- including family and friends to visit China this summer.

Visit China this summer as a Peace Ambassador with fellow Bruins and other UC students, faculty and staff! Travelers on the Silk Road to the Future program visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and much much more.

Trip participants enjoy accommodations at 4-5 star hotels and traditional ten-course meals at fine restaurants on a daily basis. Comfortable charter buses provide transportation for program participants from busy boulevards in Beijing to the scenic countryside en route to the more rustic provinces of China.
