Thank you to those who participated in Staff Assembly's needs assessment conducted by the "Some Assembly Needed" PDP Project Team. You can find the final report of their analysis and recommendations for Staff Assembly on our website.

Staff Assembly will take their recommendations into consideration and develop a plan to review our programming and to increase engagement with UCLA staff. Special thanks to the PDP team (Atsuro Kagawa, Ashley Love-Smith, Trina Rowe, Nick Ruhe, and Jeff Wong) for their hard work in putting this together!

I wanted to give a quick thank you to the Staff Assembly Executive Board, the Staff Assembly members, and all UCLA staff. It has been a pleasure creating these bi-weekly newsletters for you through this past year. However, this will not be the last you hear from me (or see of my work) as I am continuing on with the board as the 2017-18 V.P. of Information Systems. Have a wonderful Summer!

UCLA Volunteer Day leadership training begins over the summer, and the Center is seeking Project Leaders who are interested in managing a site. This important role ensures the success of Volunteer Day projects by motivating students and Task Captains, as well as organizing and preparing for their arrival on the big day. Project Leaders must be available on Saturday, October 7 and for trainings over the summer. REGISTER >>

UCLA Staff are cordially invited to attend this series of free lunchtime concerts in the Powell Library Rotunda, curated by Artistic Advisor Guillaume Sutre, Professor of Violin and Director of String Chamber Music at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music since 2008. The Festival is hosted by the UCLA Center for 17th- & 18th-Century Studies and was founded in 1988 by Professor Henry J. Bruman (1913-2005), who sought to introduce new audiences to chamber music at informal concerts on the UCLA campus.

Free admission, no tickets required. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Aqua H.I.T. is a deep water, high energy, intense workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Appropriate for all swim levels. Equipment (floating belt and water weights) will be provided.
