Be a part of UCLA Bruin Day for admitted freshman! This year’s event takes place on Saturday, April 16, 2016 on the UCLA Campus. We anticipate approximately 15,000 admitted freshman students and their guests will visit campus on UCLA Bruin Day, and your help is vital to making this day a success.

UCLA Bruin Day gives students the chance to tour the campus, hear from professors, meet current students and experience what life is like as a Bruin. Our goal is to pack all UCLA has to offer in one spirited and unforgettable day.

There will be 5 different volunteer shifts: 6:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.; 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.; 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be assigned tasks such as directing visitors, answering questions, distributing giveaways, and more.

Please sign-up to volunteer using this link: Volunteer for Bruin Day 2016.

If you have any questions, please e-mail eventvolunteer@support.ucla.edu.
We look forward to your help in welcoming admitted students into our Bruin family.

Every year we bring the UCLA community together to help break the stigma surrounding suicide and to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Join over 10,000 people walking at campuses just like this one all across the country - people like you who are helping to affect change in the national dialogue about suicide and mental illness.

Registration starts at noon and the walk begins at 1:00 pm. For more information contact Catharine Krebs at 513-505-2387 or ckrebs.afsp@gmail.com.

2016 BruinTech-a-Thon

The 2015-16 BruinTech Board is proud to announce the 2016 BruinTech-a-thon, a mini conference where we invite tech enthusiasts from across the campus to come give 20-60 minute presentations on the work they are doing in their departments. Presentations can be in the form of slideshows, demonstrations, panel discussions or mini-workshops -- feel free to get creative and collaborate with your peers!

The BruinTech-a-thon provides an opportunity for techies to share their knowledge, practice presentation skills and learn about possible collaborations with other units on campus. The presentations can inspire conversations and stimulate the creative thinking that helps us all create and support the IT environment with which we are entrusted.

The 2016 BruinTech-a-thon will take place on April 27, 2016. To learn more about the previous BruinTech-a-thon, please see this page.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact BruinTech at bruintech@ucla.edu.
