- Panel on “Perks of the Zoom Life” about keeping connected, finding community, and the unexpected opportunities of remote working
- Panel on “Looking Beyond – Inspiration" showcasing UCLA colleagues that work on big things behind the scenes. We’ll also have opportunities for networking and socializing
- And more to be announced
We hope that you will join us and get connected, get inspired, and help create a better UCLA through technology and knowledge.

Staff Assembly Centennial Reports
As the campus community prepares for the "new normal," Staff Assembly, the organization "for staff, by staff," would like to take a moment to reflect on the many memorable experiences that have been shared during our Centennial Celebrations. CUCSA September Quarterly Meeting Updates
The September CUCSA meeting was hosted by UC Irvine. CUCSA is the Council of UC Staff Assemblies, composed of two delegates from each UC Campus. During the first CUCSA meeting of 2020-21 year, there were updates regarding the Staff Advisor to the Regents (STAR) program and information about applying to become a STAR. We heard from various leaders at UCI, and wrapped with information on the upcoming systemwide Engagement Survey (to be launched in 2021). Additionally, CUCSA formed four workgroups for the 2020-21 year:
- Flexible Work Arrangements
- Staff Advocacy (focus on compensation)
- Basic Needs (focus on mental health)
- Internal Operations (strategic planning for CUCSA and maintaining online platforms)
Each workgroup will be looking to gather information from each campus related to the workgroup topics. If you are interested, email staffassembly@ucla.edu.

Sustainable Transportation Month Has Arrived!
Each year in October, UCLA Transportation highlights the many benefits of sustainable transportation. From walking to biking to taking public transit, we're encouraging Bruins to get movin' during October for Sustainable Transportation Month! Follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the virtual celebration as we share why these sustainable ways of commuting are better than driving alone. Throughout the month, we’ll be hosting weekly social media contests with prizes! Get movin' and keep up with us all October for more chances to win.
