Scholarships available for UCLA employees

Success in any organization increasingly requires a sophisticated understanding of law and the legal system. A Master of Legal Studies (M.L.S.) from the nation’s four-time #1 ranked public university will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to excel and lead. The M.L.S. program is designed for professionals from disciplines outside of the law who wish to advance their careers and capabilities by obtaining an advanced degree and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory issues that impact their industry or field of interest. It is ideal for non-lawyer professionals in any field – from the private, nonprofit or government sectors – who need to understand and navigate law, regulation, disputes or attorneys.

UCLA staff are encouraged to apply.  Full-time career employees at UCLA are guaranteed the 25% UC & CSU Employee Scholarship.

Note: additional tuition discounts do not apply since this is a self-supporting degree.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month October 2020

National Cyber Security Awareness Month!

This year we have seen an unprecedented number of cyber attacks across the world, many with a focus on compromising systems in order to gain access to COVID-19 related information/data. As we continue to experience so much of our work and personal lives online, we want to take the opportunity to remind all members of our community the crucial role we each play in safeguarding our systems.

UCLA, UCLA Health and UCOP, along with the other UCs, have put together a month full of events for you, from speakers to games – and even some improv comedy. These events are designed to show you that cyber security can be interesting and even enjoyable, while helping make sure you know the basic steps you need to take to keep yourself, your family, and UCLA secure.
