Campus Cat Network Needs Volunteers

UCLA is home to a small number of stray or feral cats who are cared for by a group of volunteers drawn from staff and faculty – the “Campus Cat Network.” Over the past several years, the Cat Network’s “core group” of volunteers has shrunk because of colleagues leaving campus, retiring, etc., and we are now actively seeking new participants. Please see the end of this article for contact information.
New volunteers are needed for any of the following: Replenishing food and water for cats who live on campus; we will walk you through it. Trapping new cats or kittens; we will train and provide all equipment. Fostering adoptable kittens or cats. We provide training and equipment. This need arises rarely. Taking cats to adoption shows on weekends . Again, this need arises rarely. This involves taking potential adoptees to showings on a Saturday or Sunday and staying with the cat. We work with Kitten Rescue.
