UCLA Staff Highlight

Kevin Medina, UCLA Alumni '16

Kevin Medina '16 completed his Masters in Public Policy and Social Welfare at UCLA and now works as Program Coordinator for the UCLA LGBT Campus Resource Center. Kevin's proudest accomplishment during his time as a UCLA staff member includes reshaping the Center's LGBTQ Allyship Training Program, a three-hour program designed to help students, staff, and faculty learn about LGBTQ terminology, effective strategies to support LGBTQ people on and off campus, and more.

When asked about his advice to new staff, Kevin recommends prioritizing a work-life balance. "It's easy to get consumed by everything happening on campus," said Kevin. "I make it a point to seek opportunities that complement my interests and keep me healthy."

Join the Fight to End Homelessness and Poverty
Be a part of UCLA's United Way Campaign
May 1-31, 2018

For 50 years, UCLA has supported United Way's efforts to help improve the quality of life for people in need across Los Angeles County. Continuing the tradition, from May 1-31, UCLA faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in our annual giving campaign.

Join the fight to end homelessness and poverty through convenient payroll deductions. Donations to United Way are collectively leveraged to solve our region's problems at both the individual and community-wide level. Make an impact now, and make an investment in the future.

UCLA and United Way. United for change.
