Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award, Faculty/Staff Partnership Award, and Staff Scholarships
Staff Assembly is now soliciting nominations for the 2017 Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award and 2017 Faculty/Staff Partnership Award. We are also accepting applications for the 2017 Staff Scholarships. Please see the Staff Assembly Website for summaries of the awards and scholarship opportunities. All nominations and applications must be received no later than Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

 
UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative
2017 Celebration #DreamRevolution

Thursday May 4th, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Living Amphitheater, UCLA Sunset Recreation Center

The Healthy Campus Initiative, envisioned and supported by Jane and Terry Semel, invites you to celebrate the Grand Opening of UCLA’s New Living Amphitheater! Located inside the Sunset Recreation Complex, this venue provides a welcoming space for our campus community. The Amphitheater has literally come alive with 31 community garden boxes tended by UCLA students, staff and faculty.

The event will feature a high-energy adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Directed by Joe Olivieri, Head of UCLA’s Undergraduate Acting Program, and featuring rising-star actors and designers from UCLA’s Department of Theater.

  • 4:00 p.m. HCI-funded student project competition, giveaways, and live music
  • 5:00 p.m. Live show featuring performances by UCLA's School of Theater Film and Television Actors
  • 6:30 p.m. Celebration party with free food by Roy Choi’s LocoL, and live music
Envisioned and supported by Jane and Terry Semel, Healthy Campus Initiative (HCI) is committed to making UCLA the healthiest campus in America. The UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative has grown into a powerful well-being movement, not only on the UCLA campus but is now being expanded across the entire UC system!

LA 2024 – Volunteer Program
Information Session


On April 26th, from noon to 1 pm at the Pauley Pavilion Club, representatives from LA 2024 will be presenting on the city of Los Angeles’ bid for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This presentation will outline the proposed plans for the 2024 Games and present opportunities for UCLA students and staff to get involved through the LA 2024 Volunteer Service Program.

Come out to learn how you can help bring the Games back to the City of Angels and earn priority consideration for volunteer opportunities at the Los Angeles 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
